Nota biográfica
Evangelos Pappas nasceu em Larissa, onde cursou Bioquímica e Biotecnologia.
Além de ser apaixonado pela biologia, é uma personalidade artística e um
espírito inquieto. Fez parte de vários grupos de teatro, o que frequentemente
resultou na participação de espetáculos, workshops de arte e grupos de escrita
criativa, expressando-se principalmente através da poesia, mas também da
fotografia. Adora viajar e aprender novas línguas, para saber mais sobre
diferentes culturas, pessoas e mentalidades.
Está na Guarda, desde outubro de 2021, a fazer o seu estágio Erasmus+ na
Escola Secundária Afonso de Albuquerque, na qual aprendeu algum português e
interagiu com adultos e estudantes da cidade.
Deambulou pela cidade e tornou-se parte dela durante estes meses. Então,
porque não apresentá-la de uma forma artística?
Short bio
Evangelos Pappas was born in
Larissa, where he studied Biochemistry and Biotechnology. Except being
passionate about biology, he is an artistic personality and a restless spirit.
He has participated in several theatre groups, usually resulting in some
performances, art workshops and creative writing groups, expressing himself
mainly through poetry, but also photography. He loves travelling and learning
new languages, to find out more about different cultures, people and mindsets.
He has been in Guarda, since
October 2021, doing his Erasmus+ traineeship in the Secondary School Afonso de
Albuquerque, in which he has learned some Portuguese and interacted with adults
and students of the city.
He walked around the city and
became a part of it for these months. So, why not present it in an artistic
way?

Contemplamos as folhas
das árvores, quando elas farfalham ao vento ou quando ele as leva e as
transporta para lugares novos e desconhecidos. Como eles conseguem desafiar a
gravidade e conhecer melhor o mundo! As pessoas não fazem o mesmo? Seja com
imaginação ou com tecnologia, conhecem outras partes do mundo. Mas é mais
difícil para elas desafiar a gravidade. A gravidade da realidade, da vida
quotidiana e da sua pátria. Porque estão conscientes do desconhecido e da
incerteza que elas escondem. E, no entanto... Se tomarem essa decisão e se
deixarem ir como folhas ao vento, podem empreender uma viagem que realmente
valha a pena.

the city by a human that became part of it
We gaze at the leaves of the trees, when they rustle in the wind or when it takes them away, to new, unknown places. We think of how they manage to defy gravity and get to know the world better. Don't people do the same? Either with imagination, or with technology, they get to know other parts of the world. But it is more difficult for them to defy gravity. The gravity of reality, of everyday life and their homeland. Because they are aware of the unknown and the uncertainty it hides. But still… If they make that decision and let themselves go like leaves in the wind, they may make a journey that is truly worthwhile.
